[One shot] RyoKame - Small Things
Title: Small Things
Pairing: RyoKame, Akame [friendship] Pikame/Kamepi [Friendship] , Kame x Tsubasa.
Genre: Fluff, Friendship
Rating: PG
Word Count: ca 1148
Summary: Kame makes a rather important decision in the grocery store.

A/N: Okay, so I’ve had the this plot in my head for I have no idea how long but I couldn’t decided on which pairing so it didn’t get written down until yesterday. This is my first time writing RyoKame so I hope I didn't do too badly and that you all will enjoy reading this little one shot :)
He picks one off the shelves and throws it on top of the groceries in his food basket before he starts towards the checkout. He turns back after just a few steps though and stares at the shelf for a moment. What colour should he chose? He reaches his hand out to pick a green one but then he changes his mind and takes a blue one instead. He throws it into the basket and as it lands nicely close to the other one he can’t help but smile.
Kame’s just about to go and get more drinks in the refrigerator when Jin comes back out from the bathroom with a big grin on his face.
“Kame” he says in a slow melodic voice and Kame knows this doesn’t bid well. “I believe there’s something or rather someone you haven’t told us about”
“What do you mean?” Kame freezes in the middle of the room and he can feel everyone’s eyes on him.
“There are two toothbrushes instead of one in the mug in the bathroom” Jin smirks. “Do you have a new boyfriend that you haven’t told us about yet?”
“No” Kame says bluntly and then his eyes flicker around the room. It’s obvious that no one believes his lies, well except for maybe the two foreign guys that Jin had brought with him but that could be because they don’t know much Japanese and probably has no clue what’s going on.
“Really?” Jin prods. “Then why do you have two instead of just one?”
“It’s for my niece” Kame lies through his teeth. “Sometimes when she has to sleep over she forgets her own.”
Jin seems to almost buy the lie as his eyebrows furrows up in confusion. When Kame looks around the room most of the others seem to do so as well, or maybe they’re just too drunk already. Jin’s not drunk though, he’s just really gullible sometimes.
“But it’s a toothbrush for a grown up” Jin says after a moment.
“I was in a rush, I grabbed it by accident.” Kame replies patting Jin’s shoulder as he walks pass him on his mission to get some drinks from the kitchen.
“I didn’t believe you and neither did Jin, not really, even if you might think you were able to fool us” Yamapi says a couple of days later. They’re having lunch together, just the two of them, in a small restaurant close to the agency.
“What are you talking about?” Kame asks a bit confused as he reaches for the salt.
“The toothbrush. It wasn’t for your niece” Yamapi takes a sip of his drink. “That toothbrush is for your new boyfriend.”
Kame puts the salt back on the table and they fall silent for a moment. Kame doesn’t know what to say and Yamapi seems content with just waiting for his reply. Kame feels Yamapi’s inquiring eyes on him as he tries to eat and it makes him feel really uncomfortable.
“I’m not” Kame sighs when he can’t take it anymore and leans back against his chair. “I’m not completely sure if I can call him my boyfriend, yet”
“Oh, but you like this guy, right?” Yamapi leans closer over the table.
“Yes” Kame smiles. “And I think he likes me just as much but I’m not completely sure”
“I’m sure he does. If he doesn’t than he’s an idiot” Yamapi concludes and Kame can’t help but let out a soft chuckle. He’s pretty sure Yamapi would’ve received a black eye or at least a hard smack over the head if his “boyfriend” would’ve been present.
“So who is it? Is he from our line of business?” Yamapi asks.
“I won’t tell you.” Kame answers hiding behind his glass of water. “It’s bad enough that I’ve told you I’m seeing someone. You’re a big gossip and I’m sure this will have spread though the whole agency by this time tomorrow”
“I promise I won’t tell anyone!” Yamapi argues. “And you can’t still be mad at me for that one time years ago. I was drunk, and I thought I could trust them not to tell anyone else”
“You should’ve known that Jin and Ryo can’t keep their mouths shut” Kame grumbles, remembering how utterly embarrassing it had been when Tsubasa had cornered him and told him that he was flattered but that he was only had interest in girls. Kame had known that already and he had never even thought about letting his crush get known by anyone. Stupid Yamapi with his stupid dead fish eyes had changed that.
“Please?” Yamapi pleads but Kame is stronger and knows Yamapi better now than he did back then so he will not fall into the same trap again.

Kame walks into the bathroom, ready to take a quick shower. His body feels worn out and tired but satisfied. He’s about to step into the shower when something on the bathroom counter catches his eyes and he freezes. In the toothbrush stand there’s not only one but two brushes and one of them looks new and unused. He reaches for it and takes it in his hand. Could this be?
“Oh, so you noticed it?” Ryo’s voice comes from the doorway and Kame spins around to face him.
“This one’s for me?” Kame asks.
“Yeah” Ryo scratches the back of his head looking slightly embarrassed but a smile is slowly appearing on his lips. “I figured I should get you one since you got me one for your place so”
“Thanks” Kame smiles back as a bubbling feeling is starting to spread out through his entire body, starting in his chest. Ryo just waves it off as he walks pass Kame and turns on the shower but the smile is still lingering on his lips.
“Let’s just get ready for bed” Ryo mumbles, stepping out of his boxer shorts and then disappears behind the shower curtain. Kame smiles again before he quickly joins Ryo in the shower.
Kame stops in front of the shelf and picks out a couple of blue toothbrushes. He smiles as he puts them into the almost empty basket and then rushes to join up with the others in the section for alcoholic beverages.
“Where’d you go?” Jin asks with a six pack of beer in his arms.
“Toothbrush” Kame replies and picks one out of the basket to show them. His eyes meet Ryo’s for a brief moment and Ryo grins at him in a kind of goofy way.
“Two?” Yamapi says as he gets a glimpse of the second on still in the basket as he puts in a bottle of wine.
“Yeah” Kame grins and throws the one he’s holding back into the basket.
“I’m assuming it’s going great with your boyfriend then.” Yamapi smiles and Kame’s eyes finds Ryo’s again.
“Yeah, it does”

It bit was a longer before I decided to cut out a scene that was just so not necessary for the story and yeah.
And yes another RyoKame is on its way and I'm gonna try to finish it as soon as possible. I need to start working on my Je_justfriends fic soon though, so that's my priority right now. Be patient and you will be awarded XD
