2 Akame Drabbles
Pairing: Akame
Genre: Fluff, friendship

Word count: 622 and 571
Disclaimer: I own nothing but the plot.
A/N: And I update a second time in one day, I am really on a roll XD
These two dictionary drabbles are both situated back in their junior days. In the first one I am imagining them being 15 and 17, and in the second one they are a couple/three years older. Anyway, I hope you all will enjoy them (^____^)
Ladder
Kame was sitting in silence in his room doing his homework when a beep from his cell phone told him that he had gotten a new message. He reached for his phone and quickly opened the message.
It read: Help me! I’m stuck in a tree in the park
Kame shook his head in disbelief but got up from his chair, pocketing the phone and then swiftly moved out from his room and down the stairs. While putting on his sneakers he called out to his mother that he would be back in a moment and then he was out the door.
He reached the park in just a few minutes and he started to search through the trees for the familiar form of his best friend and fellow group member.
“Baka, what are you doing up there?” Kame called when he finally found Jin sitting on a branch dangling his legs. “And how did you even get up?”
“Ah, Kame!” Jin’s face lit up with relief as he looked down at him. “I’m happy you’re here. Get the ladder lying there and help me get down”
Jin pointed down at the ground not that far away from where Kame was standing. Kame looked in the direction and noticed the small wooden ladder there. He kneeled down and picked it, manoeuvring it so that it leaned against the tree. Kame climbed up the ladder and out on the branch to sit down next to Jin.
“So, how did you end up here?” Kame asked dangling his legs in rhythm with Jin’s.
“I was walking through the park when I heard a meowing sound” Jin started to explain. “And then I saw that it was this kitten stuck in a tree making the sound. I wanted to help it and ran to find a ladder. I got to borrow one from some shop owner after explaining the situation. However once I was up in the tree the kitten quickly climbed down by itself and left me. And then when I was to move back to the ladder I accidentally kicked it and it fell down on the ground”
Kame couldn’t help but laugh at the story but he also found it adorable of his best friend that he had wanted to be so heroic and help the little kitten.
“It’s not funny” Jin muttered hitting Kame on the shoulder.
“Yes it is!” Kame said still laughing at his friend but stopped when he felt his leg hitting something. He looked with fear at the ladder which swooshed through the air as it fell and hit the grass with a soft thud.
“Look what you did!” Jin shrieked leaning a bit forward to look at the ladder.
“Sorry” Kame felt stupid as he looked away from the ladder and over at Jin.
“Now we’re both stuck and I am so hungry!” Jin whined nudging Kame in the side with his shoulder.
“I’m really sorry” Kame said again as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small package. “Here, eat this”
“Pocky!?” Jin’s face lit up again and took the package from Kame. “Is it really okay for me to have this?”
“Yeah” Kame nodded. “Eat it. After all I failed at coming to your rescue so the least I can do is save you from starving”
“Yeah, I guess. Thanks” Jin smiled as he started to munch on a stick and then held out the package to Kame. “I’m happy that you came though”
“Me too” Kame smiled back as he took one of the biscuit sticks offered to him. Kame found himself thinking that it actually was really nice being stuck in a cherry tree together with Jin munching on sweets.
Pep talk
“Okay, this is it. This is really it” Kame said in a low voice to himself as he walked up to the front door of Jin’s house. “You can do this Kame. You are Kamenashi Kazuya and you can do this. There is nothing to be afraid of. Everything will go fine. Everything will be fine. Everything will go just great.”
He closed his eyes once he was standing in front of the door to collect himself some more courage before he knocked on the door.
“Yes, you can do this. You will do this”
He took a big breath and raised his hand to knock on the door but before he got that far the door slammed open and almost hit him. He stumbled backwards but didn’t fall over.
“Kame?” Jin sounded surprised but happy to see him. “What are you doing here? Do we have date today that I forgot all about?”
“Da-date?” Kame blinked at Jin’s choice of words. “No, we don’t have a… date... I just need to talk to you. There is something I need to tell you. Do you have some time?”
“Ah, I’m actually going to meet up with Pi, but you can come along.”Jin replied closing the door behind him. “We can talk on our way there”
“Oh, okay” Kame agreed.
“So, what was it you wanted to tell me?” Jin asked after they had been walking for a couple of minutes and woke Kame up from his thoughts. He had been thinking about the best way to formulate what he wanted to say to Jin.
“Ah, uh. You see…” Kame started but turned silent again.
“See what?” Jin asked and casually took Kame’s hand in his. Even though it wasn’t that unusual for them to hold hands the sudden touch startled Kame but he didn’t pull away He looked down at their hands before he stopped walking and made Jin halt as well.
“I…” Kame looked up and caught Jin’s gaze. “I like you”
“I know” Jin replied with a grin. “I like you too”
“No, I mean I like you” Kame said as Jin obviously didn’t get it. “As in I’m in love with you”
“I know. I’m not stupid” Jin was still grinning and squeezed Kame’s hand tightly. “And I like you back”
“You do?” Kame couldn’t hide his surprise over that information.
“I thought I was obvious about it” Jin said and raised their interlocked hands. “I mean how many guys do you know walking around holding their friend’s hands?”
“Oh…” Kame felt rather stupid but at the same time really relieved that his feelings were answered.
“So, can I kiss you now?” Jin asked catching Kame off guard.
“Wha-what?” Kame stuttered but was cut off by Jin pressing his lips lightly against his. It was just a peek but the touch made Kame feel dizzy and his legs turned wobbly. Jin obviously took notice of this as he pulled Kame into a hug to stable him.
“You’re adorable Kazu-chan” Jin chuckled brushing Kame’s hair.
“Shut up” Kame replied back but couldn’t keep the smile away from his face.
“Come on. Pi is waiting” Jin said releasing Kame from his embrace but took a hold of the other’s hand once again. Kame just smiled and gave Jin a small nod. That went well. That went better than well, Kame thought as they walked down the street hand in hand.

I like how Kame was the first one Jin messaged when he got into trouble. And them both stuck on the tree was really funny (but I bet they enjoyed being alone up there, even though they were still bestfriends then XP)
And Kame in the second was soooo cuteeeee. Getting all pumped up to confess then having Jin turned around saying that he already knew, lol. We don't see smart!Jin that often so this was a fresh change, hihi. And leave it to Kame to not notice that they were behaving like a couple already, lol.
